Reliable network for the University
Building a new network concerned designing a new network architecture, delivering hardware, installation, configuration and productive launching of the new devices. The built network consists of several tens of distribution points, in which 18 out of them are equipped with modular switches. In accordance with the requirements of the Ordering Party, all applied switches with modules have a non-blocking configuration, which significantly impacts the efficiency of infrastructure.
All elements were made in a redundant architecture that enables ensuring uninterrupted network operations even during failure of one of elements
The delivered solutions help to tackle tasks in terms of the speed of data transmission as well as functionality, allowing creating safe virtual networks. All elements were made in a redundant architecture that enables ensuring uninterrupted network operations even during failure of one of elements – said Konrad Pogódź, Member of the Management Board for Realizations in Qumak S.A.
Because of such a great stress on efficiency of connections between particular distribution points were combined with the use of fibre optic links and ensure the capacity of 80Gbps.
Projects performed in the area of Security & Business Continuity
So far, Qumak performed projects among others for the Interdisciplinary Centre for Mathematical and Computational Modelling UW and the Silesian University in Katowice, delivering modern computing clusters, comprehensive hardware and software platform for the needs of cloud computing of WAT, as well as IT infrastructure for the University of Jan Kochanowski in Kielce.
