Main topics of the 23rd conference edition were: new strategy of the energy policy, economy of low emissions, cross sector relations of mining and energy, as well as internet of things in the energy sector.

Innovative IT solutions for energy
The conference was opened with a discussion regarding the energy of Polish economy and new directions of its development. There were also mentioned matters concerning innovation and new technologies in the energy sector as well as new business challenges. Jacek Suchenek, Vice President for Realizations in Qumak, during the panel concerning innovation at the conference talked about e.g. Internet of Things in the energy sector, to which Qumak’s IT products are a great support and provide a way to apply innovative technologies.
BI and Big Data – a way to manage data in companies
On the second day there were discussions about the EU Energy Initiative, energy security, and an issue of competitive market of the energy sector in Poland, in the face of building a homogenous European electric energy and gas market. Piotr Obrycki, Business Development Manager in Qumak, during the panel “Energy Data Driven Company” pointed to Business Intelligence & Big Data solutions, which allow processing and profiling large amounts of data in an innovative way.
Aim of the conference was a discussion concerning the most current challenges and problems with the energy sector, e.g. virtual power plants and energy in cloud. Key representatives from the energy, science, and administrative sector took part in the conference.
